Robbie Keane Pet Sitter
Nina the owner of a nationwide pet sitting service Nina’s Nannies for Pets has today announced the signing of Robbie Keane.
“It’s now official. We have just brought Robbie keane”
Observers have commented that it is a geat buy, but wonder if he may be a little over qualified to start a career in dog sitting.
Negative Matrimony
Is it any coincidence that as the credit crunch bites and negative equity is around us again that the divorce rate is at its lowest for 26 years?
Figures just released show the divorce rate fell to 1.19% in 2007 down from 1.22% in 2006.
Could the main reason for this being couples not being able to sell their homes and therefore having to stay together, where as previously they would have divorced?
Is negative equity slowing down the divorce rate by creating negative matrimony ?
Google cache updated and tidied up at last
It looks like google have finally gotten around to updating the google cached snapshot of page feature. It looks a lot neater now and doesn’t appear to be effected by the CSS of the page being cached anymore.

MyHammer.co.uk
Watching a bit of daytime television today I saw an advert for a new website MyHammer.co.uk, it was a nice advert so I went and had a look at the site.
It appears to be a site where people can post little jobs which they want doing and tradesmen can reply and quote for the work.
It’s in Beta testing at the moment and appears to be the UK version of my-hammer.de run by MY-HAMMER AG
What I find interesting is the fact it is in Beta, only has 159 jobs available in the UK, but that they are already advertising on a main tv channel.
I can only assume the German version is very succesful and they hope it will be the same in the UK.
One to keep an eye on http://www.myhammer.co.uk/

Venue Hire - Venue Search
I decided to go back to basics with a venue hire page and remove 90% of links to other pages that tend to just confuse site visitors.
As it is providing information about venue search and how to find a venue which hires out conference rooms I decided to keep it short, to the point and not try to make it an all in one page.
This tends to be the problem when the company provides numerous services, they often like to have every service they provide on every page of their website, which can make optimising one page for one subject a little trickier.
New bot coming from SAVVIS
One of my sites started getting hid hard a few months ago by a strange bot that appears to read javascript and therefore messes up both my Statcounter stats and my google AdSense stats. After a bit of searching around I discovered it was connected to Kavam.net, Limelight Networks, SearchME and that it was a new spider (Charlotte) from the visual search engine SearchMe
Yesterday I noticed a new visitor in my stats using the same set up, Mozilla 5.0 and Linux, but this time it was coming from a different IP ange 165.193.254.13 which appears to come from SAVVIS (SAVVIS Communications Corporation)
I posted about it on Jill Olkoski blog, and she has written more here, which is a better place to post comments or read more about any updates.
