Pet Owners Code of Practice

Pet owners are being encouraged to comply to a new pet owners code of practice which includes making provisions for providing entertainment, mental stimulation and suitable toilet facilities.

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) have produced a 26 page document on cat welfare alone and are informing pet owners that it is thir responsibility to fully comprehen the code.

Advice is given on suitable toys and providing mental stimulation, it also warns of the impact close encounters with other cats can have, and that dogs need company of people, dogs or other animals.

SEO Code of Practice

A new SEO code of practice announced by NRAC looks set to set new standards in the Search engine optimisation industry.

With an ever increasing number of companies claiming to specialise in search engine optimisation, the uninitiated client can find it almost impossible to know a good SEO from a bad one.

The results of paying for the services of a bad, or unethical SEO can be disastrous for small business owners, and can sometimes result in their website being penalised, or even removed from search engines.

The new NRAC SEO Code of Practice solves the problem small business owners have of choosIng an SEO and gives them the security of knowing their SEO is using ethical methods and are working within guidelines laid down by the major search engines.

New code of practice for garages and mechanics

New code of practice for garages launched for mechanics and garages.

Main features of a mechanics code of practice;

The mechanics vow.

We promise to honour the code of practice at all times and;

  1. When estimating work, not bump up the price if the punter is in a smart suit.
  2. Not talk condescendingly to women, even though most don’t know the difference between a tail exhaust and a big end.
  3. Not assume money left in ashtrays or down the sides of seats is a tip.
  4. Keep our Jo Guest calenders out of site of all punters.
  5. Not to break parts of the motor, show it to the customer, and say “here’s your problem guv.”
