Abdelbaset Al-Megrahi in Remission ?
Despite alleged Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi being told he only had 3 months to live back in August, he is now out of hospital and up and walking.
Is Al Megrahi’s cancer in remission or has he just been discharged from hospital so that he can die at home?
Al Megrahi was freed on compassionate grounds by Cabinet Secretary for Justice in Scotland, Kenny MacAskill on 20th August stating that Megrahi was in the final stages of prostrate cancer and was expected to be dead within 3 months.
Sad I know, but I bet a lot of people are hoping his cancer isn’t in remission.

Will this week be like next week
What a week!
Mid Monday morning the wife came in all excited after a drive round the village, she had seen a sign outside a house saying “kittens, ready end of the week” she took a piece of paper out of her pocket which she had scrawled the telephone number on and asked if she could ring it.
We had been after kitten for at least 8 months, but had given up hope of getting a ginger Tom and had decided we would just get the first one we saw.
She phoned up and there was only one left, “is it a boy or a girl?” she asked “boy” was the reply, “what colour is it?” she then asked “ginger” was the reply “It’s a ginger tom!” she shrieked.
5 minutes later we were all in the car outside their gate, in we went, and there he was, the most perfect little ginger tom kitten ever.
She wanted to take him there and then, but no, he wasn’t quite ready, we had no bed, food, litter tray etc. anyway, so I asked if we could pick him up 1st thing Saturday morning.
Next moning T was under the weather so we kept him of school for the day, by late morning he had miraculously recovered and was playing on his DS. He put it down to have lunch so I took advantage of the fact and hid it. New rule, no DS during the week!
Wednesday morning and I set of for Stratford to pick up some ink for my printer, got half way there before remembering I hadn’t made a note of the ink number or model number of my printer, turned around and stopped of in Shipston to get some kitten food, litter tray, cat litter and a couple of little toys for him to play with.
By the time I got home it was too late to go to Stratford, too late to do anything else, so I spent an hour building a new Article Sites website talking about article submission and the benefits of writing articles and where to submit articles to.
Next morning I had an appointment at Warwick with Paul to discus a new product they were launching and which they wanted me to set a site up for. The product is a Fire Evacuation Chair which attaches to a wheelchair enabling a wheelchair bound person to be safely bought down a flight of stairs whilst still in their chair.
As the evacuation chair is designed to carry a wheelchair, I added a section about it on to my wheelchair ramps site as a demonstration before setting of to see Paul and after the meeting came back and added a couple of extra pages.
Friday morning meant a trip in to Chipping Norton for a breakfast meeting with a guy who sells wine coolers , wine cabinets and wine fridges. After breakfast we went back to his office to plan out a stradegy to get his site performing better, back home afterwards just in time to to go and pick the kids up from school.
Saturday morning everyone was up early and waiting for me to have my bath, as soon as I came down the stairs they were all on at me to phone up about the kitten (the wife being the one making most noise)
In the end it was just me and L who went to get him, we stopped of at the local store on the way to get a bottle of wine and box of chocolates as a thank you to his owner, then went to get him.
More tomorrow….
Lorem Ipsum Copyright Claim
An ex professor from Sapienza University of Rome is threatening to turn the world of website designers, printers and typesetters upside down by claiming the copyright of Lorem ipsum.
Professor Maxilanus Vitrioli claims to have found 15th century manuscript that name his far distance relative as the original creator of Lorem ipsum, and also claims to have discovered a second document that he claims grants his relative and subsequent surviving relatives full intellectual property rights.
Experts are now saying that if both ducuments can be authenticated Professor Vitrioli (the last living relative), could be sitting on a potential goldmine. They go on to say, that any person, business or governing body found to be using more than 450 characters of Lorem ipsum in any one block of text could potentialy face litigation and claims of copyright abuse from Professor Vitrioli.
Other experts claim, not only will Professor Vitrioli have a very strong case against anyone using Lorem ipsum from the day of judgement, he will also be able to backdate all claims to the date when he first went public with his claims.
Incidentally, the above Lorem ipsum has 447 characters ;o)
Just in case Professor Vitrioli or his legal team read this.
Christmas Turkeys Gobbled Up
In an unfortunate incident on a Warwickshire small holding a rafter of turkeys had an early Christmas.
The Turkeys which were being specially reared for a number of local restaurants met an untimely ending when part time turkey hand Jez Day was caught short whilst locking them up for the night.
When asked what happened, Jez replied, “I was just about to lock up for the night when nature called, I then got chatting on my mobile phone and must have just forgotten all about them”
The next morning Jez went to let them out to be greeted by a site of flying feathers and strewn carcases, all 28 Turkeys had been gobbled up by foxes.
Autumn Days Lyrics
If, like me, you went to church to see the kids performing in the harvest festival this week, you’re probably sat there humming the tune to Autumn Days. Well just for you, I have found the words to Autumn days and added them below.
Autumn Days Lyrics
Autumn days, when the grass is jewelled
And the silk inside a chestnut shell
Jet planes meeting in the air to be refuelled
All these things I love so well
So I mustn’t forget
No, I mustn’t forget
To say a great big thank you
I mustn’t forget.
Clouds that look like familiar faces
And a winter’s moon with frosted rings
Smell of bacon as I fasten up my laces
And the song the milkman sings.
So I mustn’t forget
No, I mustn’t forget
To say a great big thank you
I mustn’t forget.
Whipped-up spray that is rainbow-scattered
And a swallow curving in the sky
Shoes so comfy though they’re worn out and they’re battered
And the taste of apple pie.
So I mustn’t forget
No, I mustn’t forget
To say a great big thank you
I mustn’t forget.
Scent of gardens when the rain’s been falling
And a minnow darting down a stream
Picked-up engine that’s been stuttering and stalling
And a win for my home team.
So I mustn’t forget
No, I mustn’t forget
To say a great big thank you
I mustn’t forget.
Autumn Days
by Estelle White
The hymn Autumn Days is obviously very popular at this time of the year as I am seeing more visitors to this page from people looking for the words to Autumn days, wanting to know who wrote Autumn Days or generally just asking questions about the song Autumn Days.
A lot of people obviously know the first line Autumn days, when the grass is jewelled because that phrase appears a lot in my analytics too.
It’s nice that so many people seem to remember the Autumn Days song and I dare say more and more people will be humming the tune again in a few weks after this years harvest festivals.
With my daughter moving up to big school in September and the leaving ceremony at her existing primary school coming up, I have also set up a page with the Sing Hosanna Lyrics

Wine Cabinets vs Wine Cellars
With the house move imminent I am still arguing with the wife about whether or not to deck out the cellar with wine racking and turn it in to a wine cellar, or to get it lined, plastered, decorated, heated and use it as an offic/workroom.
I personally think a wine cellar will be far better, but she says todays wine cabinets store wine as well as a wine cellar and take up far less room.
Personally, I think she wants it convverted in to an office/work room so she can pack me off down there to get me from under her feet
