Set up a little race today as an experiment.
I have set 2 pages up targeting Sidcup Conference Centre
And also set up this blog post with the same title, the question is, which page will get indexed 1st?

Set up another listing today, this time for someone who clears blocked drains in Slough
I don’t know what it is about drainage companies, but all of a sudden I am getting loads who want to take out upgraded listings.
This is good in one way, more money, but ackward in another, as I like to try my best to keep them all happy.
To solve this problem I try to share out the areas they cover and also but them in different, but similar categories, i.e.
Blocked Drains
Drain Unblocking
Drain Cleaners
Drain Cleaning
Drain Relining
By doing this it hopefully gives them all a fair crack of the whip and hopefully keeps them happy.
I have been experimenting with one of my directory sites for the past few days so that I can make individual listings stand out a bit more.
All listings use the same ASP file which is a very simple template and the content is then pulled in from the database.
To change the appearence the CSS file is then pulled from the database too. Most free listings just use a default CSS file but for upgraded listings I use individual files.
A perfect example is my Blocked Drains in Reading listing, I first have a look at the site the listing is set up for, and then adjust the style sheet so that a similar colour scheme is used with their listing.
I revamped one of my portable wheelchair ramps sites over the weekend and added a section about how to buy wheelchair ramps.

People sometimes ask why there isn’t a way of buying ramps online on the site to which my answer is, wheelchair ramps are to complicated a product to just purchase without first being advised on which model meets your specific needs.
For this reason I always try to direct people to contact me first and then take the orders over the phone or via email.
The new page I created tries to make this clear and also explains more about my new 7 day Try Before You Buy service.
I set up a new listing for a company that clears blocked drains in Reading earlier today. They had an existing listing but it was set up in the wrong category and the wrong location. Rather than just updating it I decided to delete the old listing and set up a brand new one.
Blocked drains is one of those awkward categories as people search for a number of different variations when they have problems with their drains.
With the end of the month nearing , I decided to update my Win a Supercar Competition page this morning.
I was pleased to see the Audi R8 was still one of the prizes on offer, I’m not really a big car fan, but there is something about the R8 that attracts me.
Also up for grabs this month is a Ferrari F430, an Aston Martin DB9, a Porsche 911, a Maserati Granturismo, and for those a little more sensible, a BMW M3 + £50,000.00 cash.
The win a supercar competitions are run by Best of the Best the same company who showcase the supercars at various airports throughout the UK.
At just £20 a ticket, this could be most peoples best opportunity of owning their dream supercar.
I set up a new Slideshow Advertising feature in one of my directory sites yesterday which displays up to 6 ads equally rolling through a fading slideshow.
The Slide Show consists of images 605 wide x 170 height, can be paused by hovering over, and each image can link through to a seperate URL.
I recently set up a listing in one of my directory sites for Goodfellows Discos a Stevenage based small company that provides a mobile disco service throughout Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Bucks.
They provide all the latest disco equipment including state of the art lighting and sound systems, experienced DJs and an extensive music collection from the 50’s to the present day.
Further information can be found at www.goodfellows-discos.co.uk
I set up a new Warwickshire business directory today along with seperate directories for each major town.
I set a new section up on my wheelchair ramps website today about wheelchair basketball.
I hope to create a directory of Wheelchair Basketball Teams from all around the UK.
Wheelchair Basketball was first played by ex servicemen with spinal cord injuries in 1946 and today is played in over 90 countries by over 25,000 people.
It is very similar to standard basketball, has 5 members in each, is played on the same size court and the basket is at the same height.
Wheelchair Basketball was played at the first Paralympic Games in Rome (1960) and has featured in the games ever since.
