What a week!
Mid Monday morning the wife came in all excited after a drive round the village, she had seen a sign outside a house saying “kittens, ready end of the week” she took a piece of paper out of her pocket which she had scrawled the telephone number on and asked if she could ring it.
We had been after kitten for at least 8 months, but had given up hope of getting a ginger Tom and had decided we would just get the first one we saw.
She phoned up and there was only one left, “is it a boy or a girl?” she asked “boy” was the reply, “what colour is it?” she then asked “ginger” was the reply “It’s a ginger tom!” she shrieked.
5 minutes later we were all in the car outside their gate, in we went, and there he was, the most perfect little ginger tom kitten ever.
She wanted to take him there and then, but no, he wasn’t quite ready, we had no bed, food, litter tray etc. anyway, so I asked if we could pick him up 1st thing Saturday morning.
Next moning T was under the weather so we kept him of school for the day, by late morning he had miraculously recovered and was playing on his DS. He put it down to have lunch so I took advantage of the fact and hid it. New rule, no DS during the week!
Wednesday morning and I set of for Stratford to pick up some ink for my printer, got half way there before remembering I hadn’t made a note of the ink number or model number of my printer, turned around and stopped of in Shipston to get some kitten food, litter tray, cat litter and a couple of little toys for him to play with.
By the time I got home it was too late to go to Stratford, too late to do anything else, so I spent an hour building a new Article Sites website talking about article submission and the benefits of writing articles and where to submit articles to.
Next morning I had an appointment at Warwick with Paul to discus a new product they were launching and which they wanted me to set a site up for. The product is a Fire Evacuation Chair which attaches to a wheelchair enabling a wheelchair bound person to be safely bought down a flight of stairs whilst still in their chair.
As the evacuation chair is designed to carry a wheelchair, I added a section about it on to my wheelchair ramps site as a demonstration before setting of to see Paul and after the meeting came back and added a couple of extra pages.
Friday morning meant a trip in to Chipping Norton for a breakfast meeting with a guy who sells wine coolers , wine cabinets and wine fridges. After breakfast we went back to his office to plan out a stradegy to get his site performing better, back home afterwards just in time to to go and pick the kids up from school.
Saturday morning everyone was up early and waiting for me to have my bath, as soon as I came down the stairs they were all on at me to phone up about the kitten (the wife being the one making most noise)
In the end it was just me and L who went to get him, we stopped of at the local store on the way to get a bottle of wine and box of chocolates as a thank you to his owner, then went to get him.
More tomorrow….
